Anglican Explained
The Anglican Church is a worldwide body of Christians centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ — by grace God sent his own Son to die to forgive our sins and to reconcile us to himself as his sons and daughters.
Anglicanism brings together the authority of the Bible, the historic faith, the beauty of liturgy, and the great commission. It is rooted in tradition, yet contemporary in practice. The Anglican Church has a rich tradition of making disciples around the world with churches in more than 165 countries.
There is a rich Anglican heritage of theological thinkers (C.S. Lewis, John Stott, J.I. Packer), social reformers (William Wilberforce, Josephine Butler), and poets (John Donne, George Herbert, T.S. Eliot).
Rise Church is part of the Anglican Church of North America and the Anglican Diocese of New England.
