FOOTWASHING & COMMUNION SERVICE

Thursday, March 28, 7p

Join us for worship and reflection on Jesus' last supper with his disciples. By participating in a foot washing, we'll be reminded that Jesus is our servant leader and calls us to serve one. Jesus instituted the first communion meal in the upper room on the night before He died, so we will celebrate communion together. Join us for this immersive service. Children encouraged to participate though childcare not provided.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Friday, March 29; Open from Noon-6pm

Artists from Rise Church have spent the season of Lent reflecting on a station and have created art (photography, sculpture, assemblage, songwriting, poetry, prose) that is designed to lead you in meditation on Jesus' journey from the Garden of Gethsemane to his burial in the tomb. Grab a friend or bring your family and spend time in adoration of Jesus' immense sacrifice that brings us life. The Stations are open from noon-6pm for you to pray and experience at your own pace. The stations begin at the front door of Rise Church.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE

March 29, 6:30p

We are excited to worship alongside our brothers and sisters at Misseo Dei Church and Christ the Redeemer for Good Friday. Through a Tenebrae-style worship service with music, passion readings, and prayers, we'll magnify Jesus as the unified people of God here in Portland. This service is at Christ the Redeemer (97 Allen Avenue, Portland ME 04103)

EASTER VIGIL SERVICE

Saturday, March 30, 5-7p with a Break the Fast Celebration featuring Live Irish Music, 7p

This powerful Easter service includes a myriad of Biblical imagery and rich traditions of worship including lighting of the great fire, readings of the story of salvation, singing, making the Great Noise, and lots of raising hallelujahs. We'll also rejoice together as four new Christians get baptized. Come celebrate the Risen Christ at this family-friendly Saturday evening service (childcare not provided but children encouraged to participate). Service located at Rise Church.

After the service, bring whatever you fasted from throughout Lent and join in an ice cream celebration that will include live Irish Music.
